Amazon FBA: How to Make $100K a Year in 2027

Most people who try to make money selling on Amazon FBA and fail are not lazy. Moreover, they are not dumb. In fact, Travis Marziani has watched smart, hardworking people struggle for years simply because they followed the wrong blueprint. Once you fix the blueprint, however, everything changes.

In this training, Travis lays out a clear path to making at least $100,000 per year on Amazon FBA using the Passion Product Formula. He shares his own story, explains why Amazon FBA is such a powerful platform, and reveals the exact method he uses to find winning products. Then, he walks through sourcing, branding, and launching on both Amazon and TikTok.

Best of all, Travis offers two things for free at the end: a strategy call with his team and a 12-hour Amazon course. Therefore, if you have ever wanted a simple, stable, and scalable way to leave the 9-to-5 behind, this guide is for you.

Travis Marziani explains why 2026 is the best year to start selling on Amazon. The Passion Product Formula helps beginners make $100K a year.

From Dream Corporate Job to Prison: Travis’s Story

Travis Marziani shares his journey from a corporate job to selling on Amazon full-time. His story shows how Amazon FBA creates freedom.

Travis did everything right. He earned good grades, attended a good college, and landed a corporate job paying around $80,000 a year. His parents were proud, and on paper, his life looked perfect. Underneath, however, he felt trapped in a prison of 50-hour weeks and two short days off to actually live.

Even worse, the best-case scenario within that system was a promotion and a 30% raise. That was never going to be enough. So, Travis quit cold turkey with no plan, no mentor, and no community. As a result, he spent 5 years struggling, taking one step forward and one step back, and eventually checked himself into the emergency room during a mental breakdown.

The breakthrough came when he looked around at the entrepreneurs who were winning. They were not smarter than him, and they did not work harder. Nevertheless, they were making far more money. The difference was simple: every single one of them was selling on Amazon FBA.

Today, Travis makes roughly $2 million a year working about 10 hours a week. Last year, he spent 2 months living in Thailand while his businesses kept running. That freedom is exactly what the Passion Product Formula is designed to create.

Why Amazon: The $1 Trillion Opportunity

Amazon will reach $1 trillion in sales in 2026. Third-party sellers earn 60% of that revenue through Amazon FBA.

In 2026, shoppers will spend $1 trillion on Amazon, up from $900 billion last year. More importantly, 60% of that money goes to third-party sellers, meaning everyday people like you. The average US seller generates $375,000 a year, and 75,000 sellers will pass $1 million in sales this year alone. That number has grown 10x since 2025, and it keeps climbing.

Built-In Traffic and Built-In Trust

Amazon has over 300 million Prime members worldwide, including roughly 170 million in the United States. That is about half the US population. Additionally, 67% of online shoppers start their product searches on Amazon, and for more than 90% of people, it is the first stop for buying anything online. Consequently, when you list a product there, hundreds of millions of ready buyers already trust the platform.

FBA Makes It Passive

FBA stands for Fulfilled by Amazon. Amazon stores your inventory, packs your orders, ships them, and handles customer service. When Travis started his first online business, he drove to the post office every day. Now, Amazon handles all of it. For this reason, Amazon FBA has created more millionaires than any other platform, including Shopify.

Real Results: Performance Nut Butter and Student Wins

Performance Nut Butter made $120,000 profit in its first year on Amazon. Travis Marziani’s students report similar Amazon FBA results.

Performance Nut Butter was Travis’s first passion product. In its first year, it generated $360,000 in sales and $120,000 in profit. Meanwhile, Travis worked about 4 hours a week and spent a month traveling through Italy. Later, he launched Carnivore Electrolytes, built it past $1 million in annual sales, and sold it.

His students have seen similar results. AJ was a bartender who lost his job during the pandemic and had almost no money. Using this method, he launched Cocktail Cards and did $655,000 in revenue and $240,000 in profit in his first year. Calvin, a college student, hit $100,000 while still attending classes.

Brent’s story may be the most inspiring. As a first responder helicopter pilot with 2 kids and a full-time job, he had very little time. Even so, he launched SeoRo and made $1.7 million in his first 2 years, taking home $500,000 in profit.

In short, AJ lacked money and Brent lacked time. Both succeeded anyway. The system works for real people in real situations.

Is It Too Late? Why the Window Is Wider Than Ever

Amazon buyers are growing faster than sellers in 2026. This gap creates a huge opportunity for new Amazon FBA sellers.

Many people worry that Amazon is saturated. Travis used to think the same thing. However, the percentage of people buying online is growing faster than the number of people selling online. In other words, demand is outpacing supply.

Furthermore, shoppers no longer want generic products. They want items made specifically for them, and most of those products simply do not exist yet. That gap is the opportunity, and it is bigger than ever.

The 3 Ways to Sell on Amazon That Hold You Back

Comparison of retail arbitrage, wholesale, and private label on Amazon. Each old Amazon selling model has a flaw that limits growth.

Before Travis found the Passion Product Formula, he tried the same paths most beginners take. Unfortunately, each one looked promising on the surface and fell apart in practice. Retail arbitrage, wholesale, and private label still get plenty of attention online, and they can even earn a little money at first. However, all three share a hidden flaw that caps your income and keeps you tied to someone else’s business. In the sections below, we break down each model, explain why it stalls, and show why Travis stopped recommending them altogether.

Retail Arbitrage

Retail arbitrage means flipping discounted store products on Amazon. It is not passive and competition on Amazon is heavy.

Retail arbitrage means buying discounted products at stores like Walmart and flipping them on Amazon. For example, you might buy 100 candles marked down from $30 to $5. Although this can get you started, it is not passive income. The competition is heavy, scaling is hard, and brand approvals get in the way.

Wholesale

Wholesale sellers buy products in bulk to resell on Amazon. Suppliers can cut off access at any time.

With wholesale, you buy in bulk directly from a company and resell on Amazon. Unfortunately, that supplier can cut you off at any time. Additionally, anyone else can approach the same supplier, so competition stays high.

Private Label

Private label sellers put their brand on an existing Amazon product. Competitors can easily copy it and undercut the price.

Private label was the old way to make money on Amazon. You take an existing product and put your brand on it. It is cheap to start, but anyone can sell the exact same product and undercut your price. As a result, Travis considers this model mostly dead.

Each of these models has a fatal flaw. That is precisely why Travis developed a different approach.

The Passion Product Formula: A New Way to Sell on Amazon

The Passion Product Formula is a new way to sell on Amazon. It builds premium products for passionate niche customers.

A passion product is a premium product built for a specific, passionate subset of customers. Travis believes this opportunity is bigger than dropshipping was in 2010 or Bitcoin was in 2015. Four years from now, people will either be glad they started or wish they had.

The benefits are clear. You gain loyal customers who feel the product was made for them. You create passive income and a stronger brand, which leads to a long-term business. To be clear, this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes real work up front. After that, however, Amazon FBA carries most of the load.

The Riches Are in the Niches

Everyone wants to sell electrolytes because electrolytes are popular. Instead, Travis sold carnivore electrolytes. Millions of people buy electrolytes, but a few thousand people a month specifically want electrolytes for the carnivore diet. Likewise, do not sell a dog brush; sell a dog brush for golden retrievers. Do not sell another air duster; sell one made for cleaning computers.

Imagine standing at the door of the world’s biggest mall and hearing every shopper say what they want. If you heard 1,000 people a month ask for a dog breath freshener and nobody sold one, you would open that store immediately. That is exactly what Amazon FBA is. When you own a niche, there is no price war and very little ad spend. Even better, customers happily pay $10 more for a product that fits them perfectly.

How to Find a Winning Product: The Checklist

Checklist for finding a winning Amazon FBA product in 2026. It covers search volume, competition, margins, and trends.

Amazon is a search engine. People type in what they want to buy, so your job is to find what they are already searching for. Specifically, you want high search volume, low competition, healthy margins (buy for $5, sell for $40), a real problem solved, a rising trend, and easy sourcing.

Good products share a few traits. They are premium rather than cheap, because someone can always go cheaper. They are first to market, evergreen, lightweight, and priced between $15 and $85. Most importantly, a good product is something you are excited to sell.

Bad products are the opposite. Avoid anything under $15, since fees eat the profit. Avoid anything over $85, because it stops being an impulse buy. Stay away from crowded niches, fragile items, and seasonal products. Travis learned the fragile lesson firsthand by shipping nut butter in glass jars.

That said, these are guidelines rather than laws. Brent sold SeoRo for $100 and crushed it. Use the checklist as a filter, then trust the data.

Live Demo: Finding Untapped Niches With Helium 10 and Google Trends

Travis Marziani uses Helium 10 to find untapped Amazon niches. Google Trends confirms whether demand is rising.

Talking about niches is one thing, but watching the research happen in real time makes the whole method click. In this part of the training, Travis opens Amazon and Helium 10 on screen and runs a live search, exactly as a beginner would. Along the way, he shows how a single branded listing can pull in close to $1 million a month, uncovers a product with thousands of monthly searches and no real competition, and shares a few ideas he is happy for you to take. Finally, he checks the trend to make sure the demand is heading in the right direction. The sections below walk through each step of the demo so you can repeat it yourself tonight.

The Creatine Test

Type “creatine” into Amazon FBA and imagine you are a woman shopping. Among the black and gray tubs, one pink listing says “creatine for women.” Obviously, that is the one she buys. According to Helium 10, that single niched product makes nearly $1 million a month. The brand did not invent creatine; they simply branded it for a specific buyer.

The Gap Nobody Has Filled

Next, Travis searched “pre-workout for women.” Amazon showed almost no dedicated products. Yet Helium 10’s Magnet tool revealed 15,000 monthly searches for that exact phrase. That is a huge opportunity, and Travis plans to launch it himself and document the results on YouTube.

Ideas You Can Steal

Travis also found nearly 1,000 monthly searches for “creatine for women over 50.” He even suggested an entire supplement line for women over 50. Similarly, “creatine for teens” showed real demand. The trick is simple: take any product keyword, add “for,” and look for the subgroup nobody serves. Then, confirm it with your own eyes by searching Amazon.

Check the Trend With Google Trends

Google Trends graph for the carnivore diet search term. Checking trends helps Amazon sellers pick rising products.

Finally, run your niche through Google Trends. You want a line that is rising, not falling. Travis launched Carnivore Electrolytes while the carnivore diet was climbing and sold the business when he saw the trend fading. Anyone who books the free strategy call also gets a way to access Helium 10 for free plus a discount on the premium version.

Case Study: Carnivore Electrolytes From Idea to $840,000 Exit

Carnivore Electrolytes went from an Amazon search to an $840,000 exit. Travis Marziani used the Passion Product Formula to build it.

Travis tried the carnivore diet and learned that electrolytes were recommended. Naturally, he searched “carnivore electrolytes” on Amazon. Nothing compliant existed. Helium 10 then showed 2,000 monthly searches, which proved he was not alone. That was the light bulb moment.

For branding, Travis noticed every competitor used bright blue, yellow, and red packaging. Therefore, he chose black packaging with red letters so his product would pop in search results. FBA Creatives handled the entire design from a short brief about his target customer. For manufacturing, he skipped Google and asked a student named Mina who he used. The product cost $7 to make and sold for $37 to $41.

Interestingly, nobody copied him for 2 years, even though he shared his numbers publicly on YouTube. First-mover advantage is real. He also used TikTok Shop by paying carnivore influencers a commission to promote the product. The key lesson is to own the product and let others market it for you.

Eventually, the carnivore trend began to dip. Travis sold the bu

siness for $840,000 and noted that selling a few months earlier could have brought $1.2 million. Either way, a single Amazon search turned into a 7-figure exit.

Sourcing, Branding and Listing: Simpler Than You Think

Steps to source, brand, and list a new product. The Passion Product Formula makes each step simple for beginners.

Once you have a validated product idea, the next steps are where most beginners freeze up. Manufacturing sounds expensive, branding sounds like a job for professionals, and creating an Amazon listing feels like a technical maze. In reality, Travis has streamlined every one of these steps so that a first-time seller can move through them in weeks, not months. Moreover, none of them require special skills or a big budget. Below, we cover how to find a manufacturer in a single search, how to get professional branding without hiring a designer, and how to fund your first order even if you are starting with nothing.

Finding a Manufacturer

Finding a manufacturer is easier than most people expect. Simply Google “pre-workout manufacturer” and the top results will make custom formulas in about 4 weeks. For overseas production, Alibaba lists suppliers who will make items like custom flashcard decks for around 63 cents each. For US manufacturers, ThomasNet works the same way. Additionally, Accelerator students get access to Travis’s list of hundreds of vetted manufacturers and his manufacturer checklist.

Branding Without Being a Designer

You do not need design skills. FBA Creatives handles packaging, main images, side images, and A+ Content for a few hundred dollars. Travis uses them for all of his products. After that, opening a seller account takes about 10 minutes, and creating the listing is mostly images, a title, and a description.

Starting With $0

If you have no money, crowdfunding solves the problem. AJ handwrote his cocktail cards, posted videos on TikTok, and raised over $100,000 on Indiegogo before spending a dollar. Travis’s students have collectively raised more than $1 million this way. As a bonus, crowdfunding proves people actually want the product before you order inventory.

The Mindset That Separates Winners From Dreamers

Travis Marziani explains the mindset needed to succeed. Taking action beats waiting for the perfect moment.

Travis’s mentor taught him that speed of implementation matters most. When you have an idea, launch it quickly. Travis’s own father invented protein pancakes for him as a kid but never turned it into a business. Years later, another entrepreneur pitched protein pancakes on Shark Tank. Ideas are worthless without action.

Travis fell into the same trap. He sat on Performance Nut Butter for a full year because he feared a $1,000 or $5,000 mistake. That product then made $120,000 in profit in year 1. Consequently, waiting cost him far more than any mistake could have. The cost of inaction is almost always higher than the cost of a wrong move.

Entrepreneurship also rewires your relationship with money. Travis grew up watching his dad flinch at an $80 dinner bill. Spending $10,000 on his first product felt terrifying. However, that $10,000 turned into a 7-figure exit. Today, he knows that money spent correctly opens up your world.

Inside the Passion Product Accelerator

The Passion Product Accelerator coaching program. Members get weekly calls, one-on-one sessions, and 150+ lessons.

People join the Accelerator for several reasons. First, each product can add $1,000 or more per month, and once you learn the process, you can repeat it. Second, members avoid the $5,000 and $10,000 mistakes that come from choosing the wrong manufacturer or skipping the right questions. Above all, they join for freedom.

The program includes 6 to 7 weekly small-group coaching calls, 6 private one-on-one sessions, more than 150 step-by-step screen-recorded lessons, and a personal community manager from day one. AJ, whose Cocktail Cards story you read above, now coaches inside the program. Travis has measured a 25x higher success rate for members compared to people who rely on free content alone.

The 6-month roadmap is straightforward. In months 1 and 2, you research and validate your product. In months 3 and 4, you place the production order and build your listing. Then, in months 5 and 6, you launch and start scaling. Students range from Wyatt, who launched at 13, to an 87-year-old member, to Fred, who built a $5 million company.

Travis compares it to learning to surf. He lived 30 seconds from the ocean and watched every YouTube tutorial, yet he kept falling. Once he prepaid for 10 lessons with a coach, he learned in one summer. The coach spotted one tiny mistake: Travis was looking down instead of up. Likewise, the Accelerator exists to catch the small errors that quietly sink new sellers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do this while working a full-time job?

Yes. Travis recommends 3 to 5 hours a week, and he documented his last launch at roughly 30 hours total. As a beginner, you might need 50 to 100 hours. Brent built a $1.7 million business while flying helicopters full-time, so a job is not a barrier.

How much money do I need to get started?

Technically, $0 if you use crowdfunding like AJ did. Mina started with about $500, sold 100 units, and reinvested until the business snowballed. Travis started Performance Nut Butter with around $4,000. Some complex products may need $10,000, and smart low-interest loans are an option the team can help with.

How long until my first profitable product is live?

About 3 months is standard, with another month or 2 for sales momentum to build. The Accelerator schedules 6 months to make sure every step is done properly.

Can I trust these results?

Travis has sold on Amazon for over 13 years and shares his real revenue, expenses, and profit publicly. Even videos titled “Travis Marziani scam” end up confirming his results are legitimate.

What is the Passion Product Formula in one sentence?

It is a method for finding an underserved niche on Amazon, creating a premium product built specifically for that group, and letting Amazon FBA handle fulfillment so the income becomes largely passive.
