My Amazon Guy offers a variety of services designed to streamline your Amazon FBA business. This includes (but not limited to) listing optimization and PPC management to account management and Amazon SEO. Here’s a breakdown of what they offer:

1. Listing Optimization

MAG claims to fine-tune your product listings to maximize visibility and conversion rates. This includes keyword optimization, enhanced brand content, and A+ content creation, which are crucial for standing out on Amazon’s crowded marketplace. However, not all clients report seeing results. In fact, some sellers have noted disappointments after MAG’s optimization. According to them, their listings did not experience the dramatic boost in traffic or conversion rates they expected.

The Catch: In some cases, sellers have claimed that the optimizations performed by MAG actually hurt their rankings. A/B testing results from some users showed no improvement. In some instances, a decline in visibility after MAG took over. With so much of Amazon’s algorithm constantly shifting, what worked for MAG’s other clients might not necessarily work for you.

2. PPC Management

One of the core services MAG offers is handling your Amazon PPC campaigns. PPC Management is essential for driving traffic to your listings. MAG promises to optimize campaigns to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) and help increase your organic sales.

PPC management is another cornerstone of MAG’s services. Some sellers have reported improvements in their ad campaigns. While others feel that the ROI doesn’t justify the cost of hiring a third-party agency.

The Catch: MAG’s approach to PPC optimization has been criticized for being somewhat cookie-cutter. According to sellers, their campaigns are set up with a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Albeit their promise of giving customized strategies based on the specific product and audience. Many sellers have noted that MAG attempts to cut costs by using generic and broad targeting advertisements.

Additionally, some sellers have reported that MAG’s ads weren’t optimized for the best-performing keywords. They further state that the campaigns weren’t optimized frequently enough to keep up with changing market trends. This leads to high cost-per-click rates that eroded profits.

3. Account Management

MAG also monitors your account health. They help you avoid account suspensions, intellectual property violations, and other issues that could impact your business on Amazon.

4. Amazon SEO

They claim to improve your product rankings through SEO-focused strategies, helping you reach a wider audience.

5. Amazon Storefront Design

MAG offers design services for your storefront to make it more visually appealing and user-friendly. To further support and cater brands that want a more polished presence on Amazon.

6. Dedicated Support

MAG claims to provide dedicated account managers who work directly with you to ensure that your business runs smoothly. Dedicated support is marketed as their key selling point. The reason for this is many sellers feel lost navigating the complexities of Amazon FBA on their own.

The Catch: While MAG promises dedicated account managers, some sellers have reported slow turnaround times for questions and updates. Given the fast-paced nature of Amazon, delays in communication can be frustrating, especially when it comes to account health

MAG has been accused of lacking urgency in resolving critical account issues. Sellers have mentioned that after submitting urgent requests—such as fixing account health violations or addressing performance suspensions—there was little to no follow-up. These actions further leaves sellers to deal with potentially severe penalties on their own.

Costing: What Are You Paying For?

Pricing for My Amazon Guy’s services is typically based on a subscription model. Pricing starts at around $1,000 per month for basic packages, with higher-end services reaching up to $3,000–$5,000 monthly. This all depends on the complexity and size of your Amazon business.

One concern when evaluating the cost is that while MAG offers a wide range of services, there’s little transparency about what you actually get. Some users report that yes their account performance improved. However, they didn’t feel like they were getting personalized attention. In connection to this, users also report that their service wasn’t as tailored as they had hoped.

As I was, scrolling through Reddit, I came across this r/scam thread wherein this specific seller is talking about his experience with My Amazon Guy. He shared that despite signing a contract with a sales guarantee of a 40% increase or money back, they only saw a 2% increase in sales. When they attempted to address the issue and claim the guarantee, the agency allegedly blocked all communication. The reviewer expressed frustration over having spent $25,000 on MAG’s services, which they believe has significantly hurt their small business.

Moreover, Some sellers have reported hidden fees and unexpected charges popping up throughout the engagement. For example, while the base service may seem affordable at first, add-ons like A+ content creation, in-depth brand strategy, or ongoing consulting can significantly increase your bill. Many sellers have said that by the time they were finished, the total costs were far higher than they anticipated. This events further leads to buyer’s remorse and user unsatisfaction.

Is My Amazon Guy’s Service Truly Worth It?

My Amazon Guy’s services looks impressive at first glance. But there are several downsides to look into before committing to their subscription.

ProsCons
✅ Comprehensive range of services❌ Expensive monthly pricing for basic services
✅ Strong focus on Amazon SEO❌ Lack of transparency in pricing and deliverables
✅ Good for businesses with high-volume sales❌ Overwhelming for small businesses or those with limited budgets
✅ Experienced team with strong Amazon knowledge❌ Customer service issues, slow response times
✅ Hands-off management for sellers❌ Limited personalization, feels like a “one-size-fits-all” approach
✅ Offers storefront design services❌ Some services lack depth and could be better executed
✅ Regular updates and performance reports❌ Mixed results: can be hit or miss depending on the manager assigned

In essence, MAG does offer a lot of services that are relevant for Amazon sellers, but there are significant trade-offs. While their team is experienced and they offer a comprehensive set of tools to help sellers, the lack of transparency, expensive pricing, and occasionally generic service may leave some sellers wanting more.

Small businesses, in particular, may find the pricing too high for the level of personalization and results they get. While they provide solid strategies, their execution is often inconsistent, and customer service doesn’t always meet expectations.

Are there any alternatives?

There are several companies who offer services in helping aspiring Amazon sellers in setting up the Amazon FBA. If you’re looking for a more hands-on and personalized approach to Amazon selling, then I recommend checking out Passion Product Formula.

While My Amazon Guy can sometimes feel impersonal and overly corporate. Passion Product Formula focuses on helping sellers find products they are passionate about and build businesses around the product. This approach is much more focused on building a sustainable business. Moreover, Passion Product Formula is known for teaching sellers a deep understanding of product-market fit, brand building, and long-term success.

Build a brand identity that resonates with your target audience.

Create a customer-first business model that nurtures loyalty and repeat sales.

Establish long-term strategies for growth rather than focusing on short-term success.

Passion Product Formula offers a roadmap for finding products with genuine demand. They challenge the seller’s creativity through creating a business model that aligns with their interests and expertise. This course is helpful for new sellers who want to learn from someone who has built a successful business from the ground up. Plus, it’s a one-time investment rather than a recurring monthly fee. This is a far more cost-effective option for smaller sellers because there won’t be any other additional/unaccounted fees.

Final Thoughts

While My Amazon Guy offers a broad range of services that may appeal to established sellers with a higher budget. MAG’s lack of transparency in pricing and occasional inconsistencies in service delivery may not make them fit to every seller. For new sellers or those looking for a tailored, cost-effective approach, Passion Product Formula is likely a better option.

Passion Product Formula empowers you to take control of your Amazon business. It equips you with practical skills to build a sustainable brand that you’re passionate about. Unlike My Amazon Guy, which focuses more on managing your business for you, Passion Product Formula teaches you how to manage your business yourself. This approach will further give you the confidence and knowledge to succeed on your own terms.

Success on Amazon comes down to a combination of finding the right products, optimizing your listings, and building a brand that resonates with your audience. With the right tools, education, and strategies, you can scale your business without relying on agencies that may not fully meet your needs.

In the end, the Passion Product Formula not only equips you with the knowledge and tools to succeed on Amazon. But also provides the guidance and mentorship you need to navigate the complexities of the marketplace.

My Amazon Guy Review

We hired My Amazon Guy to reinstate two of our listings on Amazon after they were suppressed for copyright infringement. What did they do? They acknowledged the infringement with Amazon, making it impossible to reinstate the listings, without consulting or informing us.

Then they dragged the job for 2 months by sending template emails to Amazon, just so they can say they burned work hours.

STAY AWAY FROM MY AMAZON GUY, THEY ARE A SCAM.
